“Therefore I tell you, do not be anxious about your life, what you will eat or what you will drink, nor about your body, what you will put on. Is not life more than food, and the body more than clothing? Look at the birds of the air: they neither sow nor reap nor gather into barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not of more value than they?" ~Matthew 6:25-26

It's Beginning to look a lot like Christmas!

Last night was an absolute blast. We had our annual Rep-Intern Christmas Party at Lindsay’s house. We had Jet’s Pizza, all the desserts you can imagine and the world’s best, homemade mozzarella cheese! We also did a white elephant gift exchange – which is ALWAYS fun with this group of people! Everyone got really creative and brought some of the funniest and most random items I have ever seen. Overall, it just made me so incredibly thankful for the wonderful people I work with. I know God has blessed me so much in this area of my life!

The white elephant gift I eventually stole from Dan.

A Walk in the Park

One of the unique things about Jackson is its number of city parks. It’s one of the reasons I love the location of our house. We’re only a half mile from both Ella Sharp Park and Cascades Park. Both have paved walking & biking trails, beautiful scenery and lots of space if you want to have a picnic or play a game of ultimate Frisbee.

Now that winter is just around the corner Ben & I have been trying to take advantage of the nice weather as much as possible. One night recently we went for a walk and the weather was so nice I had to snap a couple of pictures!

Weekend in St. Joe!

This was such a relaxing, fun weekend! One thing I know for sure - No matter where I end up living, St. Joe will always be one of my favorite places to be!

Lansing!

This fall my younger brother Curtis started his freshman year at Michigan State University. Ben & I have been lucky enough to only live 30 minutes from him, so we've been able to see him a few times over the last couple months. However, my other siblings haven't seen him at all since he moved to campus in August. So, we planned a day trip to Lansing for some of us to all hang out.

After checking out his dorm and hanging out on campus for a bit, we went downtown & to the mall to shop and then out to eat to watch the Michigan State vs. Michigan Game. For the first time in my life I didn't know who to cheer for. I've always been a Michigan fan but now that Curt goes to MSU & I'm on their campus often, I'm finding myself cheering for them more often. No matter what, it was a good game & we had fun watching it.

We ended the day by hanging out at Pinball Pete's where we played air hockey, dance-dance revolution and old school skee-ball. It definitely brought me back to the days when we all went to Chuck-e-Cheese's for Halloween!

We went to Bubble Island & I convinced them all to try Bubble tea,
though I couldn't quite convince them to like it.

A Fresh Start

Well, in attempt to simplify our lives Ben and I have both deleted our Facebook accounts.
I'm glad I won't have this distraction in my life any more, but I will miss keeping up with my friends! Thankfully most of you have blogs that I regularly read and I figured I should probably start one of my own. I'm not much of a writer, but I'll at least post pictures and updates every once in a while.
